Comments policy

Feedback, both positive and negative, is encouraged. However, a couple of ground rules are in order:

1.  You can be as rude as you want to me, but comments personally attacking other people will be deleted.
2. Comments presenting a risk to anybody (i.e. threats, or comments containing sensitive information) are not allowed and will be deleted.

In addition, there are certain types of objections to the content of this site which, although permitted, will not receive substantive responses:

1. Objections that are not relevant to the post to which they are attached.
2. Objections that are addressed in the post to which they are attached
3. Objections to the way I use my time.

  Much as I appreciate what Michael Pollan has done to raise awareness about food-related issues, I'm sometimes frustrated by things he says or writes that seem slanted or even incorrect. This blog is an attempt to encourage Pollan to check facts and think through arguments more carefully.

  I am Adam Merberg, a Ph.D. candidate in mathematics at University of California, Berkeley, where Pollan is a professor of journalism. All opinions expressed here are my own (with the exception of those opinions explicitly attributed to others). I receive no money, goods, or services for writing this blog.
